The work of the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine will be unblocked in the nearest future, President Viktor Yushchenko told the Europe - Ukraine international forum in Kyiv Thursday.
"We are convinced that Ukraine will have a working parliament one of these days, and the far-fetched circumstances under which the upper part of the confrontation was formed, will become a thing of the past," the head of state noted, expressing confidence that the parliament will return to productive work.
At the same time, Yushchenko emphasized that all the latest events in the country's political life in the past few years are not only a political exam, but also a demonstration of the country's invariable course towards observance of democratic values.
